EuroMillions Rules do change from time to time. The reason for one change in the rules was that on the 3rd of February 2006 the EuroMillions Jackpot took an incredible eleven week roll-over before being won.
Now the operators of the EuroMillions have decided that if the jackpot has not been won by the 12th time of asking, then it would be distributed to the next highest winning tier. This is likely to be the ticket holder matching five main numbers and one lucky star number.
If you go to a European country that is participating in the EuroMillions Lottery and you buy a winning ticket, just make sure you claim your prize money before you leave as a prize can only be issued in the Country where the winning ticket was purchased.
The golden rule is… If you enter the EuroMillions Draw whilst on holiday, check your numbers before you leave.
EuroMillions will not accept responsibility for lost or stolen tickets and it is the person who comes forward with the winning ticket that is deemed the rightful owner and not the purchaser. To put it another way – if you should lose your winning ticket then the person who happens to find it is legally entitled to claim the lotto prize. I don’t know about you but I won’t wouldn’t forget that in a hurry!
