I
hope that in this section of the site the Euro Millions player can gain a little
more knowledge of the general Euro Millions rules. If you
like to keep updated on the latest Euro Millions rules
then please read below for a broad outline or log on to the
UK national lottery rules & procedures
website for a detailed explanation.
Euro Millions Rules do change from time to time. The reason for one
change in the rules was that on the 3rd of February 2006 the
Euro
Millions Jackpot took an incredible eleven week roll-over before being won.
Now the operators of the Euro Millions have
decided that if the jackpot has not been won by the 12th time of asking, then it
would be distributed to the next highest winning tier. This is likely to be the
ticket holder matching five main numbers and one lucky star number.
If you go to a European country that is participating in the
Euro Millions Lottery and you buy a
winning ticket, just make sure you claim your prize money before you leave as a
prize can only be issued in the Country where the winning ticket was purchased.
The golden rule is… If you enter the Euro Millions Draw whilst on holiday, check
your numbers before you leave.
Euro Millions will not accept responsibility for lost or stolen tickets and it
is the person who comes forward with the winning ticket that is deemed the
rightful owner and not the purchaser. To put it another way - if you should lose
your winning ticket then the person who happens to find it is legally entitled
to claim the lotto prize. I don’t know
about you but I won’t wouldn't forget that in a hurry!
